Lasagna

These are the ingredients.... not the oil in the background. I also added some italian seasoning and cumin that I had. Mom always adds seasonings to the cottage cheese/ricotta (she mixes the 2 together)
So first you cook the lasagna noodles according to the package. While they are cooking open the sauce and pour some in the bottom of your pan. (as shown below). Also mix the 2 cheeses and seasonings (salt and pepper too) together.

When the noodles are done and drained, place about 5 noodles over the sauce. Add some sauce over the noodles then spoon on the cheese mix. Spread this around and sprinkle on the parmesean cheese and the motz. cheese. Place 5 more noodles on top and place the sauce and cheese mix over it. Sprinkle on the parmesean cheese and the motz. cheese. I did 4 layers like this.  When done place tin foil over the lasagna.

Put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. My oven cooks hot. After 30 minutes I took put it in for another 10 minutes and put it on the top rack. I then took off the tin foil and put it in for another 10 minutes. The lasagna should come out golden brown and bubbly. Mom tried it and said something was off.... too much cheese, not enough sauce-it was good but not like hers. Since this was my second time making it and it came out wayyyyyy better I was happy with it. You can play around with the spices and cheese and add more or less. If you try it, good luck and enjoy!!! I also made creamy homemade mashed potatoes and veggies with butter and salt and it made a delicious meal!
